STUDIES ON TOPICS RELATED TO OBESITY SURGERY GENERAL SURGERY interconnected WITH  METABOLIC SURGERY. DIET IN THE SURGICAL PATIENT.



Learning outcomes

 STUDENT MUST LEARN THE MAIN SURGICAL TECHNIQUES AND KNOWS THE COMPLICATIONS AND SIDE EFFECTS FROM THE DIETISTIC POINT OF VIEW.



Program
  • introduction to the course
    • total parenteral nutrition in surgical patients;
    • fast track surgery
    • resumption of oral nutrition after major abdominal surgery
    • Postoperative malnutrition
    • radical gastrectomy: complications and postoperative diet
    • Obesity surgery: sleeve gastrectomy and gastric bypass
    • Surgery large obese: biliary-pancreatic diversion (Scopinaro technique)
    • complications after obesity surgery
    • Metabolic surgery: the diabetic patient
    • mix of surgical diseases with dietological interest
    • dietary supplements in surgery
