Learning outcomes

The students have to acquire the knowledge of basic assistance processes in the obstetrics and gynecology field.

Program

1. Nursing care plan in obstetrics and gynecology.
2. Team care in obstetrics and gynecology: integration of various specialists.
3. Nursing care in normal pregnancy: duration, hygiene, nutrition and surveillance of  maternal-fetal wellness.
4. Nursing in  high risk pregnancy: threat of miscarriage, threat of preterm birth,  multiple pregnancy, diabetes, gestational hypertension, obstetric emergencies ( hemorrhage, eclampsia…).
5. Nursing care in the labor and delivery: newborn care and breastfeeding.
6. Nursing care provided to the gynecology patient: prevention of cancer of the female genitalia, contraception, gynecological surgery.

Development of the examination

Written  and/or oral, to be agreed upon with the Course Coordinator.
