Development of the course

  the trail is designed to provide the student an overview of the activities that take place within a cytopathology laboratory with special reference to diagnostic techniques of preparation of biological samples obtained by scraping or fine needle aspiration and TLB role in screening of cervical-vaginal Cytopathology.

provide the basic knowledge to operate within a cytopathology laboratory

Organization and safety of the Cytopathology lab; sampling techniques and setting up slides, centrifugation techniques, fixation and staining and discolouration of preparations; Informatics and tele cytology Cytopathology; immunocytochemical techniques; microscopic technology, automated screening techniques; pap cytology testing, screening and reporting; ancillary techniques in Cytopathology, p16. brain carcinoma screening programs; training of the technician cytologist
