Development of the course
This course,
- explains the role of the technician in all the steps of the Radiation therapy process and highlights the critical points where systematic and random errors (both in set up and organ motion) could be produced;
- Shows the main protocols used to correct the errors.
- Introduces the clinical use of 3DCRT, IMRT, IGRT, STEREOBODY, BRAIN STEREOTACTIC RADIOTHERAPY
Learning outcomes
To highlight the role of the technician: he/she can actively contribute in carrying out the best treatment for each patient; to help identifying the most critical points during the treatment planning process and the treatment delivery.
