The student has to learn the processes of obstetric care during the prenatal period, especially those relative to prenatal diagnostic methods, such as roles and responsibilities of the midwife both in  amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling.

The student as also to understand the importance of the midwife in her counsellor , and educational role and her fundamental support to  couples that undergoes the I.V.F. and procedures of  prenatal diagnosis.

 

Programma

Role of the midwife in assistance of  woman and  couple in  prenatal diagnosis: prenatal counselling, couple information, communicative aspects in  prenatal diagnosis.

Invasive and no-invasive prenatal diagnosis.

Executive techniques, operative procedures, midwifery assistance.

Management of  prenatal diagnosis’ ambulatory.

Diagnostics and therapeutic protocols of prenatal medicine.

Couple counselling in  diagnosis of fetal pathology.

Mourning in pregnancy.

Midwife assistance to  voluntary termination of pregnancy before and after the 90th day of pregnancy.

Counselling of  couple affected by infertility problems that undergoes assisted reproduction.

Sexologist and contraceptive counselling.
