The course aims to provide students with the directions for the proper execution and methods under study

Risultati di apprendimento attesi

After completing this module the student must be able to know, then describe and discuss the equipment used in Senology in CT and MRI, the preparation of the patient, how to perform the technical and methodological mammography, CT scan examinations with and without contrast medium, elective and in emergency, examinations breast MRI, MRI of the brain, including spectroscopy studies.

Programma

 Senology

• Digital Mammography: equipment, compression system, AOP, CAD.

• Technical mammography

• Diagnostic protocols

• The digital detectors FFDM

• The image quality in digital X-ray mammography.

• Tomosynthesis: equipment and technical execution

• Magnetic resonance imaging: diagnostic protocols

• Screening mammography

• Radiation protection of the patient

 

TC

• Preparation of the patient in the elective exams and examinations under the urgency

• CT scan of the skull with and without contrast medium: acquisition in axial and spiral

• CT of the petrous

• intracranial CT angiography

• TC massive facial with and without contrast medium

• TC with and without cervical m.d.c.

• CT angiography neck vessels

• TC sinuses

• TC dental arches

• Post-processing of CT images

 • Card contraindications

• brain MRI with and without m.d.c. : Diagnostic protocols and coils used

Modalità di svolgimento dell'esame

The student is required to take a written test and an oral quiz in which it is called upon to describe the technical execution of the examination of the course of instruction.
