The course includes the examination of the main rheumatic diseases in the elderly, which, alone or together with co-morbidities, are due to disability.

Definition of rheumatic diseases in the elderly. Clinical semiotics of rheumatic diseases. The pain in rheumatic diseases. Early diagnosis of rheumatic diseases of the elderly: general principles. The disability in old patients. Methods of assessment of disability. Prevention of disability. Patient education. Counseling.
