Prerequisites

Students should have a knowledge of the normal and pathological development of the different functions in developing age subjects

Development of the course

This course intends to provide the students with the fundamentals  for the identification of the most important problems of the developing age, with particular reference to the most frequent neurological diseases

Learning outcomes

The course aims at developing students’ observation skills, and their ability to plan evaluation and rehabilitative treatment , as regards different pathological conditions of developing age.

Program

The course aims at presenting/investigating the following topics: the newborn, mental retardation, neonatal screenings, cough, fever, abdominal pain, vomiting, neurofibromatosis and mucocutaneous disorders, febrile seizures, infectious diseases, hydrocephalus, vaccination.
