Program
 The course aims to provide a basic knowledge of key concepts, theories and models through which sociology has set out its scientific elaboration of social reality. In particular, the course will be divided into two parts. In the first the foundation and the epistemological status of the sociological discipline will be presented, retracing the thought of the main exponents of the research and social theory. The second part will be focused on the typical issues concerning the sociology of health and medicine as well as the professional groups operating in the healthcare system.
