Modalità di svolgimento del corso
The course is based on frontal lectures, dealing with Obstetric  Diagnostics as seen from a clinical  point of view, together with a practical section on the echo thomography, with the aim of acquiring the basics of ultra-sound techniques which supports the Obstetricians’ clinical activities.

Risultati di apprendimento attesi

To provide the knowledge of the main fetal and maternal pathologies and of their screening chances, diagnosis and therapy in order to make a proper pre and post natal counselling.

To convey basic rudiments of ultra-sound techniques supporting midwifes’ clinical activities.

Programma

Assessment of fetal health and invasive/non-invasive prenatal diagnosis during the I, II, III trimester: generalities, indications and risks; amniocentesis, chorionic villous sampling, funiculocentesis, phetoscopy, echography, fetal echocardiography, amnioscopy and Doppler fluximetry.

Diagnosis of chronic fetal suffering.

Mentions of congenital malformations: epidemiology, aetiology and prevention.

Voluntary pregnancy interruption: techniques, risks and complications.

Main pregnancy infective diseases: epidemiology, prevention and diagnosis.

The echo-office during the obstetrics clinical practise: AFI measurement, evaluation of fetal position and presentation, FCF detection.
