Development of the course
The course will focus on the principles of gastroenterology and digestive endoscopy. Physiopathology of main type of gastrointestinal cancers and gastrointestinal  inflammatory diseases will be described, with a special focus on the recognition and the interpretation of the laboratory, endoscopic and clinical reports.

Learning outcomes
improve the knowledge of the principles of gastroenterology. ability to understand the technical words especially in digestive endoscopy. comprehension and interpretation of the reports of the main laboratory and pathological exams.

Program
Celiac disease, peptic disease, helicobacter pylori, malabsorption syndromes, inflammatory bowel diseases, colo-rectal cancer, gastric cancer, pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer, jaundice, cirrhosis and sistemic complications, biliary diseases. principles of digestive endoscopy (gastroscopy, colonscopy, small bowel endoscopy, ERCP, EUS) and endoscopic therapy (polipectomy, endoscopic mucosal resection, endoscopic submucosal resection, biliary sphincterotomy, stenting, endoscopic control of gastrointestinal bleeding, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy)
