Reading and translation of articles about topics related to the course of study.

Learning outcomes

The course is meant to improve students’ reading skills and provide them with a basic

vocabulary related to the course of study.

Program

The English grammar will be thoroughly reviewed [verb forms – present simple and

continuous; present perfect simple and continuous; past simple, continuous, perfect; future (present simple;

present continuous; going to; shall/will); conditional verb-forms and sentences; passive verb forms; modal

auxiliary verbs (can/could/may/might; must/should/ought to/needn’t); comparatives and superlatives;

quantifiers; possessive adjectives and pronouns; reflexive pronouns; relative pronouns and interrogative words

(what, who, whose, whom etc.); the ’s genitive and the noun as adjective structure] and articles will be read

and translated.

Development of the examination

Multiple choice test.
