Development of the course

The aim of the course is to  give the fundamental principles to the  understanding of the relationship between  the mind and the brain which are the basis for the comprehension of the cognitive functions by which people interact with each other and with the environment and control their behavior.

Learning outcomes

Through the analysis and the study of the cognitive functions, the students will acquire deeper insights, knowledge and competences in psychology which will be useful in their future professional work.

Program

Introduction to Psychology, Hemispheric Differences, Consciousness and Attention, The sleeep, Learning processes, Memory, Motivation, Emotions, The Pain, Empathy, Verbal and Non Verbal Communication

Development of the examination

For students who have regularly frequented the lessons, the exam will be in the written modality with multiple choice questions. For students who did not frequent the lessons, the exam is in the oral modality. Iscription should be made only on-line through the Web page of the Faculty.
